About the Role You will be a key member of a
dynamic
legal team, assisting in all aspects of commercial, construction, and estate litigation. Your expertise will help clients navigate significant legal challenges, and you will contribute to managing complex litigation files effectively.
What You’ll DoAssist lawyers with commercial and construction litigation matters.
Draft pleadings, document production, discovery materials, motions, mediation briefs, and trial preparation documents.
Prepare estate applications and manage estate litigation files, including passing of accounts.
Oversee matter and data management, including scoping and budgeting.
Mentor junior law clerks and share knowledge with students and associates.
Ensure adherence to the Rules of Civil Procedure and legal best practices.
What You Bring3+ years’ experience in a Law Clerk role with demonstrated experience in commercial and construction litigation.
Experience in estate administration and passing of accounts (an asset).College Law Clerk Diploma or Institute of Law Clerks Ontario Certificate (University degree is an asset).Strong knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
Experience using iManage, Case Center (formerly Case Lines), ACL, Relativity, Kofax PDF, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Excellent
communication
and interpersonal skills.
Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to manage complex files.
