Overview:
We are seeking an Mid-Level Associate to join our team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals interested in gaining exposure in family law, probate and estate planning and developing foundational skills in a dynamic work environment. We are a busy firm that is growing!
Responsibilities:
– Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
– Conduct legal research and analysis
– Draft and review legal documents, including estate planning documents and pleadings
– Represent clients in court proceedings
– Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
– Manage and supervise junior attorneys and support staff
– Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the practice area
Requirements:
– Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
– Active license to practice law in the jurisdiction
– Minimum of 3 years of experience as an attorney, with a focus on family law, probate and estate planning
– Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Proficiency in legal administrative tasks, including document management and case organization
– Experience with Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for legal research purposes
– Ability to work independently and handle multiple cases simultaneously
– Proven ability to litigate cases effectively
