About the Role:
We are seeking a law clerk to join our legal department. In this role, you will handle a wide range of legal matters, including legal research, assistance for various legal work and projects, contracts, and compliance. This is an entry level or junior position.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Legal research, legal analysis and legal memo
- Legal documents review and drafting
- Assisting the head of legal department for various compliance, internal control and risk management projects from time to time. assisting legal education and legal SOP projects
- Maintaining, updating and managing various company contract templates
- Being a business partner to business teams and providing legal supports as needed
- Coordinating with external legal counsels on litigation, government investigation and internal cases
- Participating in special projects as requested
Qualifications:
- J.D. or LL.M. degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Qualified for taking bar exams in the US and eligible to being a US licensed attorney (if you pass bar exam)
- Bilingual Mandarin Chinese required
- Legal experience (in the US or overseas) preferred, but not required. Extensive legal internship is valued
- Good interpersonal skills
- The ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines, eager to learn
- Must have proper working authorization to full-time work in the U.S., including OPT
