Duties
Represent public agencies and school districts in litigation matters in state and federal courts, as well as in administrative hearings
Provide strategic legal advice on public agency and education law matters
Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents
Collaborate closely with clients to address legal issues and provide guidance on case strategy
Stay informed about legal developments affecting public agencies, and provide training as necessary
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Active member of the California State Bar
Minimum of 7-10 years of litigation experience, with a focus on public agency or education law
Proven experience with trials and administrative hearings
Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
In-depth knowledge of California public agency, employment, and education laws
Skills
