JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Director, Program Administration, reporting to the Managing Director, Academic Programs and Partnerships, is responsible for developing and managing assignments, deadlines, and resources for all in-school programming and institutional partnership programs. This person is an exceptional organizer and good with details; understands bar exam concepts and products; clearly and effectively communicates via written, verbal, and presentation modalities with a variety of audience members, including students, faculty, and colleagues; and works collaboratively with the entire bar review program organization (including product, content, engagement, IT, accounting and more) to meet individual and team goals. In addition, this person is nimble, creative, and enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment to help drive assigned program initiatives.

The Associate Director will also oversee the Helix Mentor Program – one-on-one coaching and mentoring for at-risk students and retakers. In addition, the Associate Director will lead grader and mentor recruitment and training for all Helix comprehensive courses, including developing a plan for grading integrated question sets and performance tasks for the NextGen Bar Exam. The Associate Director will also be involved in the development and delivery of diagnostic assessments and simulated bar exams. Periodic travel to attend conferences and conduct workshops, webinars, and trainings is expected.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Oversees the Helix Mentor Program to ensure excellent delivery of one-on-one coaching and mentoring services – including mentor recruitment, training, assignments, oversight, and evaluation.
Leads the Helix Grading Program for both in-school programming and Helix comprehensive courses – including grader recruitment, training, assignments, oversight, and evaluation.
Ensures timely and excellent delivery of grader feedback across all programs.
Develops and maintains grading schedule and allocation of assignments to graders.
Ensures the grading services align with each jurisdiction’s testing content and procedures.
Assists with necessary content updates to account for testing frequencies, changes in the law, and/or changes to bar exam testing content and procedures.
Manages requests, and assists in the delivery of, custom assessments and simulated bar exams.
Manages the department’s product and content development needs, collaborating with product, content, marketing, IT, and other relevant internal teams.
Manages the academic and bar success-related RFP response process – including drafting of relevant documents, and management of timelines and resources.
Maintains contact management system (CMS) records, including updated contact information, event tracking, and campaign participation.
Assists with the administration of Helix’s in-school programming courses.
Assists with the administration of Helix’s in-person and online workshops and classes.
Travels to conduct assigned workshops/attend conferences.
Maintains knowledge of Company products and services and how they can be utilized for multiple purposes and audiences.
Offers analysis and recommendations for new services and products that could benefit member schools and their students and recent alumni.
Contributes to the development and quality control of new products and services.
Provides updates and insights on law school bar pass efforts, competitor efforts, and related information from the industry.
Keeps Managing Director aware of any red flag issues.
Other duties as assigned.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

PREFERRED
Advanced knowledge of the UBE

BACKGROUND EXPERIENCES.
J.D. required; Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction required
3+ years of work in the law school or bar exam preparation environment, including teaching, student interaction, curriculum development, and/or bar exam preparation.
2+ years of experience in grading written portions of the UBE or state bar exams (for a law school institution, commercial bar review program, or state bar organization).

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full-time, exempt position in a remote location; the incumbent is expected to be present and accessible for at least 40 hours per week, subject to approved leave time, travel and other absences as described in the Employee Handbook or as otherwise agreed by the Company. The Company’s standard hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
