LHH is conducting a search on behalf of a well-established Los Angeles law firm seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join its growing practice. Overview
The firm is seeking an attorney with a minimum of five years of labor and employment law experience who can independently manage cases while collaborating effectively within a team environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, writing, advocacy, and case management skills and be comfortable handling litigation matters from inception through resolution.
This position offers exposure to a broad range of employment-related matters, a supportive team environment, and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in client counseling and litigation strategy.
Responsibilities
- Represent employers in labor and employment matters, including litigation and counseling.
- Manage cases from initial assessment through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
- Handle all phases of discovery, including written discovery and document review.
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Advise clients on employment law compliance, workplace issues, and risk management strategies.
- Develop litigation strategy and provide practical legal guidance to clients.
- Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to efficiently manage case workloads.
Qualifications
- Active California Bar license in good standing.
- Minimum of 5 years of labor and employment law experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Experience drafting substantive motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with public entity law is a plus, but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $170,000 – $225,000, depending on experience.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $170,000 – $225,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
