Our client, a global hedge fund based in New York, NY is seeking a Compliance Associate to join their growing team. This person will be tasked with handling KYC requests from counterparties, account openings and closings, the negotiation and maintenance of trading documentation, and legal entity life cycle management. Additional responsibilities include managing internal databases for entity/document management and will be interacting daily with traders, operations, accounting, custodians, and brokers. Candidates must have 4-8 years of compliance experience coming from a competing hedge fund, law firm or bank.
Responsibilities Include:
Reviewing client RFPs and DDQs
Assisting with new client onboarding processes, specifically completion of various trade and brokerage documentation
Gathering and maintaining KYC documentation, and running Client Due Diligence (CDD) investigations
Requirements:
3-8 years of legal & compliance documentation experience for an established financial services firm, preferably a hedge fund
Hands-on experience processing Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
