Working pattern: Hybrid but you will need to be flexible depending on team tasks and resources. Weetabix Wednesday is a non-negotiable where we all come into the office for business partnering and meetings.
We are excited to bring on board a Solicitor who will play a key role in supporting the legal and compliance activities of our Weetabix legal team. We are looking for a dedicated individual who excels at networking across the organisation, actively connecting with stakeholders to gain insights into business requirements. This candidate will skillfully navigate demands and optimise resources to ensure successful outcomes.

The purpose of this role is
Drafting and advising, under minimal supervision, consultancy agreements; NDAs, capital contracts and other “business as usual” legal work predominantly as part of the procure to pay process
Legal research, negotiation, proofreading, drafting basic legal documents, document management, stakeholder care and expectation management
Providing clear, accurate and pragmatic legal advice under supervision by Head of Legal and/or Senior Solicitor
Instructing external law firms where necessary and appropriate in line with the team’s strategy
Legal function administration including, but not limited to, triaging new legal requests, legal inbox management, post, facilitating contract execution, and processing legal invoices
Drive continuous improvement by reviewing legal processes and proposing ways to make them more efficient
Requirements
Non-negotiables
Character and suitability requirements as prescribed by the Law Society
Undergraduate degree at 2:1 or above
Completed training contract or period of recognised training (in-house or private practice) and admitted to the roll of solicitors
Experience either in-house or in a commercial team of a reputable law firm
Nice to haves
Experience within the FMCG sector
Experience within an in-house legal function
