A growing US-based executive search team is seeking a Junior Researcher to support their New York office. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in high-value, relationship-led search work and fast-track their progression to consultant level.
About the Role
The Junior Researcher will work closely with the New York-based consultant, supporting live mandates, networking, and practice growth initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Mandate Support: Conducting initial research, candidate outreach, and supporting ongoing searches.
- Networking & Mapping: Identifying and connecting with top talent, mapping industry networks, and helping set up meetings.
- Practice Growth: Assisting with documentation, tracking candidate information, and contributing commercial insights.
This role is ideal for someone energetic, collaborative, and down-to-earth, who thrives in a close-knit, supportive team environment.
Who They’re Looking For
- Early-career professionals: 2024 or 2025 graduates, or candidates with up to 18 months of recruitment experience.
- Culture fit: Personality and attitude are more important than experience—energetic, adaptable, and collaborative.
- Bonus points: Interest in sports or extracurricular activities; any prior recruitment, research, or expert network experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $70-75k for graduates or those with <6 months’ experience; up to $80k for candidates with some recruitment experience.
- Commission: Initially discretionary based on research contributions, moving to a structured percentage at consultant level.
- Benefits: Flexible PTO (20 days), 401k, health coverage after three months.

- Location: Shared workspace on 5th Avenue, NYC, with plans for a dedicated office as the team grows.
