RS Consult is seeking a motivated and ambitious Junior Litigation Attorney, with between 3 – 5 years experience as an admitted attorney, to join our client’s dynamic team in Bellville. This is an incredible opportunity for a newly qualified attorney who is eager to gain hands-on experience in litigation and expand their legal experience.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for litigation, excellent analytical skills, and a keen desire to advocate for clients. This position provides a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys and gain exposure to various aspects of litigation.

Key Responsibilities
Assisting in Preparation: Prepare legal documents, pleadings, and motions to be filed in court.
Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research to support ongoing cases and provide well-informed advice to senior attorneys.
Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress.
Court Appearances: Represent clients in court under the guidance of senior attorneys, handling motions, hearings, and other appearances.
Case Management: Manage assigned cases effectively, ensuring all deadlines are met and tasks are prioritized appropriately.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a team of legal professionals to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
Requirements
Requirements:
Educational Qualification: LLB degree (qualified attorney) from a recognised university.
Admitted Attorney: Must be duly admitted as an attorney with the Legal Practice Council of South Africa.
Experience: Previous experience in a litigation role of between 3 – 5 years post admission as attorney is essential.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in Afrikaans and English, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Organisational Skills: Excellent time management abilities, capable of handling multiple cases simultaneously.
Team Player: Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to new challenges as they arise.
