Job Description

Innovative and dynamic personal injury law firm seeks articulate professional to work as a Legal Assistant to help with our growing business. Join our wonderful legal team and have a great opportunity to learn the mass tort process while being part of a team of professionals. In order to succeed in this firm, you must have a strong work ethic, possess excellent writing and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, good time management and be as committed as we are to providing the best service for our clients. Essential Job Functions

Extensive interaction with clients over the telephone and client intake phone calls
Prepare correspondence and legal documents
Organize case files and address any issues that may arise with particular cases
Answer clients’ questions and concerns
Work with attorneys on case status updates
Collect case evidence and documentation
Communicate with third party vendors
Keep clients informed by relaying case developments
Maintain case management information in law database
Move cases forward by maintaining client files, ordering and reviewing medical records and bills
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

Position requires two years of experience working in an office setting. A law firm or medical industry experience preferred. High school diploma required and Associate’s degree or paralegal certificate preferred. Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English. Scheduled work hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Able to work overtime if needed.
