Junior Legal Executive
Are you a motivated young legal professional ready to take the next step in your career?
We are looking for a Junior Legal Executive to join our dynamic team.
Key Tasks/ Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive assistance to the Corporate Legal Officer across all legal matters pertaining to the division.
Draft agreements and other legal documentation required by the Legal Division.
Coordinate with business unit heads to execute deeds, contracts, and related legal documents.
Maintain and update the Group’s intellectual property management system.
Manage the Group’s intellectual property affairs under the guidance of the Corporate Legal Officer, including the submission of relevant documentation to the National Intellectual Property Office of Sri Lanka.
Support notarial functions of the Group, particularly matters concerning the Land Registry.
Liaise with the Finance Department to ensure timely payments to external legal service providers (e.g., external counsel, instructing attorneys).
Digitally archive all legal documents of the Group in an organized and secure manner.
Assist in maintaining and organizing physical and digital legal files and records.
Conduct legal research on matters assigned by the Head of Legal.
Qualifications & Skills:
Must be a qualified Attorney-at-Law.
An LL.B degree is not mandatory but will be considered an advantage.
Notary Public and Commissioner for Oaths qualifications will be a distinct advantage.
1 to 2 years of experience in a recognized legal or corporate environment.
Previous experience in a similar capacity will be an added benefit.
