What are we looking for? 🔎

We are looking for a Junior Legal Counsel – Litigation to join the Legal Department at Insud Pharma, reporting directly to the Disputes Resolution Director.

This role will support the commercial litigation function of the Legal Department, combining procedural litigation work, pre-litigation risk management, and business-oriented legal support, particularly in clinical trials and strategic projects.

The position offers exposure to multi-jurisdictional disputes and close collaboration with cross-functional teams within a highly innovative and technology-driven legal environment.

The challenge! 🚀

  • Draft and review procedural documents across civil, commercial, criminal, and administrative proceedings.
  • Manage litigation matters independently or in coordination with external counsel.
  • Support case strategy, evidence analysis, and procedural deadlines.
  • Ensure consistency of legal arguments across jurisdictions and matters.
  • Support pre-litigation matters in coordination with relevant business units and internal legal stakeholders.
  • Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies before escalation into formal disputes.
  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external counsel.
  • Provide legal support to Clinical Trials and R&D teams.
  • Assist in the drafting and negotiation of contracts with CROs, vendors, hospitals, and strategic partners.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and contractual guidelines.
  • Monitor and support initiatives related to ESG/EHS regulations and compliance.
  • Contribute to risk assessments related to environmental, health, and sustainability matters impacting disputes.
  • Support the continuous improvement of litigation processes, templates, and internal policies.
  • Participate in legal tech and digital transformation initiatives within the Legal Department.
  • Leverage AI tools and data-driven approaches to improve efficiency and knowledge management.

What do you need? 🤓

  • Law degree (LLB or equivalent).
  • 1–3 years of experience in litigation, either in a law firm or in-house.
  • Qualification to practice law in Spain.
  • Strong drafting skills in procedural law, especially in civil and commercial matters.
  • Solid understanding of litigation strategies and dispute resolution processes.
  • Experience in reviewing and negotiating contracts is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the Life Sciences industry or clinical trials is highly valued.
  • Advanced English level is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Proactive mindset and ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
  • Critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills.
  • Innovative approach, with interest in process improvement and new technologies.
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced and evolving environments.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
