Air Q Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Legal Counsel (Employment & Contracts) to support the company's legal, employment, and contractual matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career legal professional who is looking to develop their in-house legal expertise while working closely with HR, Operations, and Management teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and managing employment and commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with UAE laws and company policies, and supporting legal and contractual activities across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesEmployment Law Support
- Draft, review, and update employment contracts, offer letters, amendments, and related employment documentation.
- Provide guidance to HR on employment matters, including disciplinary actions, notice periods, resignations, and terminations.
- Assist in the interpretation and application of UAE Labour Law and employment regulations.
- Support the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
Contract Management
- Draft, review, and manage various legal agreements, including:
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Supplier Agreements
- Service Agreements
- Commercial Contracts
- Maintain contract templates and contract registers.
- Identify potential contractual risks and escalate concerns to management when necessary.
- Support negotiations and contract administration activities.
Compliance & Legal Support
- Ensure compliance with applicable UAE laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain organized legal records and documentation.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on complex legal matters when required.
- Provide legal support to Operations, Finance, Procurement, and other departments as needed.
QualificationsEducation
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent legal qualification.
- UAE-based legal education or exposure to UAE Labour Law is preferred.
Experience
- 0–3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal environment.
- Exposure to employment contracts, commercial agreements, NDAs, and HR-related legal matters.
- Fresh graduates with strong internships may also be considered.
Required Skills
- Strong legal drafting and contract review skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Practical, business-oriented approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organizational and document management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of UAE Labour Law and employment regulations.
- Experience supporting HR and Operations teams.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with contract management systems, SharePoint, or document management platforms is a plus.
