Junior Legal Counsel (Emirati)
The Junior Legal Counsel will provide support to the business on employment law and litigation matters. The role is responsible for assisting with legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, supporting dispute resolution processes, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and internal policies. The successful candidate will work closely with senior legal team members and business stakeholders to provide practical, commercially focused legal advice while managing legal risk.
Employment Law Support
- Assist with the provision of employment law advice across multiple jurisdictions.
- Draft and review employment contracts, amendments, disciplinary letters, termination correspondence and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research on employment law developments and regulatory changes.
- Support management of employee disputes, grievances, investigations and labour claims.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution
- Assist with management of labour and commercial disputes.
- Liaise with external legal counsel.
- Maintain litigation trackers and legal databases.
- Prepare case summaries, chronologies and evidence bundles.
- Support legal reporting on claim trends and outcomes.
Contract Review and Drafting
- Draft employment contracts applicable to various deal structures.
- Provide guidance on ministry contract additional terms.
- Identify legal and commercial risks and escalate where appropriate.
- Support maintenance of contract templates and precedent folders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB or equivalent).
- Qualified lawyer or working towards professional legal qualification.
- 3-5 years’ post-qualification or relevant legal experience.
- Experience within a law firm or in-house legal department.

- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Excellent English drafting and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Commercially minded with a practical approach to problem solving.
