AFS Energy is growing, and so is the Legal & Compliance team! Therefore, we are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Legal Counsel who will support the team. Job Responsibilities
Participate in an analysis of (new) prospects, to safeguard that the KYC/CDD documentation meet our standards as well as to define the overall risk of their business model
Supporting business with drafting, analyzing, and negotiating various (international) contracts
Participating in a framework to conduct controls in terms of compliance to laws and regulations before executing a transaction and arranges communication with the (Energy) department if their advice is needed
Update, develop and/or review compliance and legal policies
Provide support to our Energy department on potential clients regarding AFS acceptance policies
Provide any other legal and compliance support when required
Job requirements
What do we expect from you?
Master’s degree in law
At least 1 – 2 year of experience as a corporate lawyer in a commercial environment or law firm.
Proactive and hands-on approach
Strong communication and analytical skills
Excellent communication in English (Dutch is a pre)
You have good communication skills and are a real team player;
You work independently and in a structured manner, you are operationally oriented and you have a critical mindset.
