JOB PURPOSE
The Junior Lawyer for claims ensures an efficient claims service, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, providing legal assistance on passengers’ claims and litigation matters (focused on consumer and labor) in strict contact with external law firms.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Manage and process guests and crew lawsuits, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Investigate and assess the validity of claims & lawsuits, determining their grounds for further action.
• Negotiate fair settlements for valid claims & lawsuits, aiming for equitable outcomes.
• Monitor claims in litigation, tracking costs and providing updates as needed.
• Oversee the payment process for settlements and condemnations, ensuring proper documentation and system updates.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced in English (both spoken and written).
• Law degree with registration at the “OAB” (Brazilian Bar Association).
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in commercial law, with a focus on consumer mass litigation.
• Previous experience in labor lawsuits.
• Experience in a multinational company within the travel, tourism, or other B2C industries is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proactive, customer-focused, adaptable, and eager to continue learning.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across function.
