We are seeking a Sr. Attorney with substantial experience designing, managing, drafting, and implementing estate plans, trust administration, probate, and entity formation. A portable book of business is a plus but not required. This is primarily an in-office position with an opportunity for a hybrid schedule for the right candidate.

Compensation:

$150,000 – $200,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

Case Management

Manage probate administration files and staff from beginning to end (Guardianship experience is a plus)
Lead and oversee the estate planning process ideally with exposure to t special needs planning
Advise clients by understanding their needs, effectively analyzing their situation, and forming a strategy for a plan of action
Review, refine, and provide strategic input on legal documents.
Independently handle day-to-day decision-making on assigned cases
Take primary responsibility for decision-making on high-stakes and complex legal matters
Develop case strategy and provide leadership and direction to attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants regarding casework
Handle key court appearances
Regularly communicate with clients and third parties to effectively move cases forward and to a successful conclusion
Perform weekly case reviews to ensure clients receive proactive communication
Contemporaneous entry of notes and billable time into the Firm’s Case Management System

Communication

Work collaboratively with the team members at all levels
Deepen the firm’s relationships with its clients
Work with Managing Partner/Firm Administrator to assess and optimize business operations and processes
Lead the legal production team to effectively move files from start to finish
Delegate to Paralegals and legal staff to accomplish tasks where appropriate but remain responsible for ensuring the timely and professional completion of the work assigned
Oversee, counsel, guide, train, and mentor associates, paralegals, and legal staff, including assigning work and monitoring work product
Recommend skills training for the legal production team to the Managing Partner/ Firm Administrator
Responsible for billable hours, profitability, and origination of work
Actively networks bring in new clients and help grow the firm’s client base
Represents the firm at events, cites content, and builds the firm’s reputation
Adhere to the Firm’s policies and procedures
Make recommendations on the design, deployment, and execution of new and existing policies, procedures, processes, checklists, templates, forms, etc.

Qualifications:
Be licensed to practice law in Florida
Be in good standing with the Florida Bar
Significant experience in estate planning and probate/trust administration
Experience in guardianship is a highly preferred but not required
Special needs trust planning is preferred but not required.
Bilingual is preferred
Familiar with basic functions in Microsoft 365 (MS Excel, MS Word, Teams, and MS Outlook) required
