JOB TITLE

Junior Corporate Counsel | Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions | Legal

ROLE SUMMARY

The purpose of this role is to provide legal support and advice to various functions within Majid Al Futtaim Global Solutions, ensuring compliance with local laws, regulations, and internal policies. The Junior Corporate Counsel will assist in managing day-to-day business activities and address legal matters arising from business relationships and stakeholders in Egypt, the UAE, and other operating markets. This position will report directly to the Legal Counsel and is based in Cairo, Egypt.

ROLE PROFILE

Collaborate with the Technology department and other teams to provide legal support and advice.

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents, minimizing legal risks for the company.

Assist in developing policies and programs, conducting research, and providing legal advice across all operating countries.

Maintain and update a shared contract database, ensuring proper management and archiving of contracts.

Proactively identify risks and offer business-focused legal advice to mitigate them.

Provide legal guidance on various matters, suggesting alternative solutions and best practices.

Review commercial and corporate documents, ensuring compliance with laws and company policies.

Assist in legal training for employees and ensure all legal documentation is updated and compliant with regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

3-5 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years in-house experience.

Strong skills in contract drafting, legal research, and knowledge of Egyptian law (UAE law is a plus).

Bachelor’s degree in law, with membership in the Egyptian Bar Association; LLM is a plus.

Bilingual in English and Arabic, with excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
