A law firm seeks a motivated and driven Junior Attorney to join its legal team in Greenville, SC. This position is ideal for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with limited experience who is eager to learn and grow in various areas of law. Duties:
Conduct legal research on a variety of issues, including family law, criminal law, immigration law, and personal injury matters.
Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and attention to detail.
Assist with litigation processes by preparing case files, supporting materials, and assisting during court appearances.
Represent clients in court appearances as required.
Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while ensuring that their best interests are protected.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex family law and immigration cases.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all client interactions and case developments.
Continuously develop legal skills through training and mentorship provided by senior attorneys.
Requirements:
Driver’s license (required).
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
High level of attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and manage competing priorities.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active membership in the South Carolina Bar (required).
Skills:
Legal research and writing.
Court preparation and support.
Negotiation and settlement skills.
Ability to collaborate with senior attorneys and team members.
Strong organizational skills to manage case files and documentation.
Bilingual in Spanish (preferred but not required).
Schedule:
Full-time position with an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work as needed.
