Role Description The Junior Associate Lawyer will work on-site in Makati in a full-time capacity, supporting senior lawyers in handling a range of legal matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting contracts, pleadings, and legal opinions, and assisting in the preparation of corporate and regulatory documents. The role involves directly coordinating with clients and government agencies, and preparing documents for hearings, transactions, and meetings. The Junior Associate Lawyer will also support due diligence activities, assist in negotiations and client conferences, and help ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The position offers training and mentorship, along with opportunities to develop expertise in corporate, commercial, and business law.
We have engaged in all kinds of legal practice, from post arbitration award, anti-competition litigation, and safeguard duty application, to annulment of marriage proceedings.
Qualifications
- Strong legal research and writing skills, including the ability to analyze statutes, case law, and regulations and prepare clear legal memoranda and opinions.
- Competence in drafting and reviewing contracts, pleadings, and corporate documents, with attention to detail, structure, and risk management.
- Effective client communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to explain legal issues clearly and collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders.
- Organizational and case management skills, including the ability to manage deadlines, maintain accurate documentation, and handle multiple matters simultaneously.
- Proficiency with common office and legal productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, digital document management, online legal research platforms).
- Law degree (LLB/JD or equivalent) from an accredited institution; bar admission in the Philippines or bar eligibility is required.
- Demonstrated interest in corporate, commercial, and business law; prior internship or experience in a law firm or in-house legal department is an advantage.
- Commitment to ethical practice, professional responsibility, and continuous learning in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
