Job Description

Position Overview: NewCo Capital Group is seeking a full-time Junior Associate Counsel to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in handling legal matters, litigation and judgment enforcement, as well as some general corporate and contracts work.  

 

Key Responsibilities

Represent NewCo Capital in a variety of litigation matters, including contract disputes, regulatory issues, collections and other legal proceedings. 

Oversee judgment enforcement procedures, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. 

Periodic assistance with general corporate matters, including contract review and revision. 

Provide legal counsel and guidance to various business units within the company, helping to identify and mitigate legal risks.

Collaborate with external counsel as necessary.

Stay up-to-date on relevant legal developments, including fintech and financial services regulations, and communicate their implications to the leadership team. 

 

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

2+ years of corporate/litigation experience.

Strong legal research and analytical skills.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

 

Salary: $80,000 – $100,000 per year, depending on relevant experience.
