Role Description The Junior Associate will support senior lawyers with legal research, drafting, and case preparation on a full-time basis. This on-site role, based in Beirut, involves preparing legal memoranda, assisting in drafting contracts, pleadings, and correspondence, and organizing case files and documentation. The Junior Associate will help review and analyze legal documents, summarize case law, and prepare supporting materials for client meetings, negotiations, and court submissions. The role also includes liaising with internal team members and external stakeholders under supervision, attending hearings or meetings as required, and ensuring that deadlines and procedural requirements are met. The Junior Associate is expected to uphold confidentiality, follow firm policies, and contribute to a collaborative and respectful work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong legal research and writing abilities, including the capacity to analyze statutes, regulations, and case law clearly and accurately.
- Experience or training in drafting legal documents such as contracts, memoranda, pleadings, and legal correspondence.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters, maintain orderly case files, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues, interact with clients professionally, and follow guidance from senior lawyers.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when handling confidential information and sensitive matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B. or equivalent); admission to the local bar or progress toward bar admission is an advantage.
- Proficiency in relevant office software and legal research tools; strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Fluency in written and spoken English; additional language skills relevant to the Beirut legal market are a plus.
