The Utilities & Compliance Manager plays a critical role in supporting Hazel Valley Homes’ Property Services team by managing utility activations & deactivations, and communications with Homeowners Associations (HOA). This position ensures properties maintain compliance with HOA regulations and utility services are seamlessly managed across our portfolio of scattered site Single Family Rentals.

Responsibilities:

Manage our national platform of SFR utility needs, including a growing team of off-shore team members to ensure our homes are appropriately activated.
Coordinate utility activations and deactivations in line with Hazel Valley Homes’ processes (this means being a player coach by managing tickets and other team members as well)
Enroll utility accounts in e-billing and ensure timely payments of all utility bills.
Organize and manage property registrations and rental registrations in compliance with HOA requirements.
Handle HOA violations by ensuring timely completion and resolution of issues.
Review neighborhood covenants and restrictions to ensure compliance for Hazel Valley Homes properties.
Receive and process HOA invoices, managing payments and coordinating with accounts payable.
Establish and maintain relationships with external HOA companies and internal departments.
Manage communication (emails and mail) from various HOAs and utility providers.
Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to team success.

Qualifications:

1+ year of experience in property management or a similar field.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of tasks.
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with online software platforms.
Preferred:
Experience managing utility accounts or dealing with HOAs is a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

HOA violations and utility issues are resolved promptly and accurately.
Compliance with property and resident registrations.
Accurate data entry and auditing of systems for effective management.
Strong working relationships with both internal teams and external vendors.
Ability to proactively identify and resolve potential problems.

Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 DOE.
