Summary: We are seeking a Paralegal/Legal Assistant to perform various office duties

Job Title: Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Location: New York, NY 10004

Target Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00AM-5:00PM

Target Duration/End Date: April 2027

Description of Roles and Responsibilities:

· Assist with drafting Consent Orders (stipulations) and fine offers under supervision of attorneys

· Manage record keeping of legal drafting for Property & Casualty Division

· Maintain templates for legal drafting

· Maintain comprehensive catalogue of violation language from historical records

· Review licensing records of respondent entities

· Manage follow up of draft Consent Orders

Mandatory/Minimum Qualification, Skills, Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree/Paralegal Certificate

Qualification, Skills, Experience Requirements:

· 2 + years of experience with legal, compliance operations and/or document Management; knowledge of Microsoft Office products; strong written and oral communications; excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects, and to coordinate with various parties to help complete them.

· Applicable knowledge of motions, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules, and procedures, practices

· Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Extensive computer and database expertise; Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Relativity (Preferred), Westlaw Case Notebook (Preferred)

· Candidate(s) with a strong attention to detail, a high level of quality, strong problem-solving skills, dependability and demonstrated priority and time management skills

· Candidates should have a working knowledge of contract terminology, including the ability to recognize contract structures, as well as key contract terms

· Familiarity with procurement contracts is a plus

· Knowledge of government contracts is helpful but not required

· Good communication skill is a must

· Working knowledge of office equipment, computer hardware and scanner

· Detail oriented, accurate and thorough
