Your new role
- Lead legal and regulatory matters related to financial services and payment operations in Japan
- Provide strategic legal advice to senior leadership and business stakeholders
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, partnership, and technology agreements
- Advise on corporate governance, employment law, and risk management matters
- Partner with product and business teams to support growth initiatives and new business opportunities
- Manage relationships with regulators, external counsel, and other key stakeholders
What you’ll need to succeed
- 3+ years of legal experience in a law firm or in-house environment
- Business Japanese and business-level English
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills
