Role Overview:
The IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all networks, hardware, and communication systems across the organization. This role plays a critical part in setting up and managing IT infrastructure, supporting end-users, maintaining system documentation, and ensuring adherence to safety and compliance protocols. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to systems monitoring and support.
Job Description & Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain wired and wireless network devices including managed switches, firewalls, wireless access points/controllers, and long-range wireless bridges.
Set up and configure desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, video conferencing systems, and peripheral devices, along with operating systems and essential application software.
Install, configure, and manage CCTV surveillance systems including cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and monitoring tools.
Install and manage IP-based telephone systems such as Avaya, Grandstream, Elastix, or FreePBX.
Monitor the health and performance of IT hardware, internet connections, and network devices; generate reports and escalate issues as required.
Manage the IT Service Desk ticketing system; provide timely and effective Level 1 and Level 2 technical support to end-users on-site.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networks; repair or replace faulty components when needed.
Maintain updated records of all IT assets, including issuance logs, return logs, and stock levels of spares and consumables.
Develop and regularly update documentation such as network diagrams, user manuals, SOPs, and system configurations.
Carry out all duties in line with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
Qualification, Skills & Experience
BS/BE in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, Electrical, or an equivalent field with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.
Alternatively, DAE in IT, Telecom, or Electronics with at least 5+ years of relevant experience.
Previous experience working in Oil & Gas fields or rigs is highly valued
CCNA/HCNA, NSE-4 training courses or certifications are preferable.
Hands-on experience with UBNT network / Wi-Fi equipment & Sophos Firewalls.
Good Knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, NMS, FTP & File Servers.
Strong communication skills and a hardworking aptitude to ensure effective task management and dedication to work

1-year contract (extendable based on demonstrated performance)
Field Area (Waziristan, KPK or Baluchistan)
Rotation Job with 45 days on & 15 days off
