  • Assist in formulating and implementing litigation strategies for civil IP infringement cases involving trademarks, patents, copyrights and unfair competition; support case process management and follow up on litigation progress.
  • Support trademark registration and maintenance for the brand in China; handle trademark confirmation and protection matters including opposition, invalidation and non-use cancellation against malicious squatting, as well as legal affairs related to copyrights and domain names; cooperate with local and headquarters teams to manage brand trademarks, patents, copyrights and domain names efficiently to ensure smooth IP confirmation procedures.
  • Assist in docking brand IP protection demands, identify, evaluate and apply for registration of protectable elements in product design, production and promotion processes.
  • Assist in formulating and optimizing IP management systems and processes for the Group’s China region; identify, inspect and report IP legal risks arising from product design, production and promotion, and put forward revision suggestions.
  • Assist in managing external trademark agencies and law firms; manage litigation case data and budget expenses; assist in filing and archiving litigation and trademark documents; support the organization of IP newsletter release and internal IP training to enhance overall IP awareness across the Group.

Role Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Law; graduates from China’s top law schools are preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant working experience with hands-on litigation experience; proficient in criminal, civil and administrative laws and procedures related to IP protection; experienced in trademark management, skilled in trademark retrieval systems, and familiar with trademark similarity judgment, infringement identification standards and trademark confirmation procedures; candidates with IP management experience in the footwear and apparel industry are preferred.
  • Good command of English as a working language, including oral communication and English report writing.
  • Meticulous, responsible and detail-oriented with strong communication and presentation skills; proactive and eager to learn, flexible and mission-driven; open-minded, logical, optimistic, inclusive and a good team player.
