Consumer Attorneys is a national law firm dedicated to advocating for consumer rights. We actively litigate in federal courts across the country, representing consumers in federal claims brought under the federal consumer protection laws, including the FCRA, FDCPA, EFTA, FCBA, and more.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team and handle depositions, court appearances, and mediations. The ideal candidate must be well-versed in the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, have a strong litigation background, and must have extensive experience taking and defending depositions. Experience with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) cases is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and defend party and non-party depositions, including 30(b)(6) depositions
Represent clients in court appearances and mediations
On occasion, argue motions in federal courts
Collaborate with our legal team to ensure effective case handling
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of litigation experience, with federal court cases preferred
Active California Bar license (state and federal courts) – required
Additional bar admissions are a plus
Strong understanding of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
Willingness to travel for depositions and court appearances
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience)
