Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked national law firm seeking a 2nd to 5th year Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join its New York NY office on an in office basis.
This opportunity is focused on patent litigation and is well suited to an associate who enjoys fast moving disputes, strong writing, and hands on case ownership within a sophisticated IP litigation practice.
The firm offers a collaborative, partner led environment with a national platform, where associates are expected to contribute meaningfully to strategy, drafting, and discovery while maintaining a high standard of client service.
The Opportunity
You will support and help drive patent litigation matters from early case assessment through pleadings, fact and expert discovery, motion practice, and hearing and trial preparation, working closely with partners and senior associates on case strategy and client communications.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 2nd to 5th year Intellectual Property Litigation Associate with:
- 2 to 5 years of patent litigation experience gained in a comparable law firm or IP boutique
- New York Bar admission in good standing
- Outstanding academic credentials
- Excellent legal writing and verbal communication skills
- Technical background or degree in engineering, software, or computer networking preferred
- USPTO admission preferred

Compensation
