Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 national law firm seeking a 3rd to 6th year IP Litigation Associate to join its Austin, Texas office.
This is a litigation focused role centered on patent and trade secret disputes for innovative clients, with matters commonly arising in technology, life sciences, and consumer products.

The Opportunity
You will support all phases of IP litigation, including legal research and analysis, drafting pleadings and motions, discovery strategy and execution, deposition preparation, and trial preparation. The work is well suited to associates who enjoy technically complex fact patterns and building clear, persuasive case themes from the record.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 3rd to 6th year IP Litigation Associate with:
- Substantial experience with patent litigation and or trade secret litigation
- An undergraduate degree in a hard science or life science discipline
- Strong academic credentials
- Admission to the Texas Bar
- Outstanding research, analytical, oral, and written communication skills

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is USD 225,000 to USD 365,000, depending on class year, experience and other relevant factors.
