Overview
A global organization is seeking a Head of Investigations – Employment to lead complex workplace investigations and manage employment-related disputes across multiple international regions. This senior role provides strategic guidance, ensures robust governance, and oversees sensitive matters requiring strong legal judgement and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of global frameworks for employment investigations and dispute resolution.
- Provide expert legal and strategic advice on misconduct, grievances, whistleblowing, discrimination, and ethics-related cases.
- Oversee and quality-assure internal investigations to ensure fairness, compliance, and alignment with global standards.
Governance & Risk
- Embed consistent governance frameworks across regions with varied legal and cultural requirements.
- Advise on risk mitigation and ensure consistent application of key policies related to conduct and workplace behavior.
- Support pre-litigation strategies and manage relationships with external counsel when required.
- Partner with HR, Legal, and senior stakeholders to drive a consistent approach to investigations and dispute handling.
- Deliver training on investigation best practices and handling complex employment issues.
Insights & Reporting
- Monitor global employment-law developments and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Track investigation trends and prepare concise reports for senior management.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field; legal qualification or recognized investigation/compliance certification preferred.
- 8+ years’ experience in employment law, workplace investigations, or dispute management.
- Experience in multinational or large corporate environments is essential; exposure to the Middle East and Europe is a strong advantage.
- Strong capability managing cross-border or high-risk investigations.
- Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to travel internationally when required.
