This role is ideal for students with a keen interest in analytical thinking and a proactive, independent mindset to support our international trade compliance team. This role offers hands-on experience in global trade compliance, customs regulations, and export/import procedures while working alongside experienced professionals in the field. The International Trade Compliance team is a vital part of SPI, ensuring our global operations comply with sanctions, embargoes, and export control and customs regulations.

How you will make an impact:

Assist in data migration/import of product classifications to database platforms

Assist in maintaining trade compliance databases and filing systems

Support the classification of products for customs purposes

Assist in preparing trade compliance reports and analysis

Laise with key internal stakeholders and support when required

Assist the Trade Compliance team with reviewing, analyzing, and processing international trade documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.

Support trade compliance processes, maintaining accurate records, and contributing to the efficiency of global operations

Learning Opportunities:

Requirements

Currently pursuing a Degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field

Team-driven, yet able to be an independent thinker who can work effectively without constant supervision

Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and SharePoint

Enthusiastic about learning and working with trade compliance professionals in the US and abroad

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

The compensation for this position will be $24.00 for Juniors & $25.00 for Seniors.
