Responsibilities:
Prepare, edit, format, print, scan, and revise correspondence
Proofread documents and check for appropriate format, spelling, grammar, and clarity
File applications with Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), and World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO)
Liaise with agents to file applications
Monitoring and reporting of Trademarks Journal
Managing database and maintaining deadlines
Maintaining records, and physical and electronic files
Manage key dates and bring forward system and updating calendars
Coordinate client meetings
Liaise with team members as needed
Requirements:
3+ years’ experience in Intellectual Property practice in a law firm or legal environment
Legal Administrative Assistant certificate/diploma or equivalent
Strong attention to detail and superior word processing, spelling, proofreading, and editing skills
Excellent organization and time management skills
Compensation: the expected annual salary range for this role is $55k – $80k based on experience and qualifications plus paid overtime, excellent firm paid benefits, RRSP plan.
