Our client, a publisher of evidence-based treatment programmes, seeks a dynamic and pragmatic IP lawyer for a fractional in-house legal counsel role. Initially, you will spend a few days familiarising yourself with the business, founder, and board before providing ongoing intermittent support.
You will oversee all IP matters, including copyright, trademarks, and licensing, while reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts with a focus on IP clauses. You will also advise on IP disputes, managing external counsel when needed, and provide guidance on data protection.
The ideal candidate will possess real IP expertise within media, publishing, or content businesses, with a strong understanding of the nuances of copyright law. Pragmatism and a proactive ‘can-do’ attitude are essential. The ability to provide effective in-house legal support without excessive reliance on external counsel is key to the success of this role.
This role will require you to work 2 days per month. Immediate Start.
