Distinguished, NATIONAL Insurance Defense Litigation Law Firm is looking for experienced Litigation Paralegals to join their CHARLOTTE office (this is a HYBRID REMOTE role***). Should have experience with EITHER Bodily Injury Defense, General Liability Defense and/or First Party Property Defense litigation. We handle the defense of car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, and property damage cases throughout North Carolina. We will consider Paralegals with ANY strong litigation experience.
***AFTER 90 DAYS, this is a HYBRID position – you may work from home TWO (2) days per week. For the first 3 months, it will be 100% in-office.
IDEAL Candidates have 3+ years Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal experience (Bodily Injury DEFENSE or First Party Property DEFENSE) in NORTH CAROLINA
DUTIES:
Draft routine or complex legal documents for review by attorneys.
Review, organize, and summarize reports and other case materials
Draft pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories/answers, other legal documents
Conduct legal research and investigations as needed
Assist in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, trial preparation, including assistance with preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial
Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial
Provide assistance at trial
Experience and knowledge of the Federal Court CM/ECF system and filings.
Experienced with use of Summation and/or Eclipse
Ability to properly capture time and bill according to guidelines
Provide Support on claim demands/packets to third parties
Fact Investigation & general claim pursuit
The candidate must be an experienced timekeeper committed to a minimum of 125 billable hours per month

SALARY $65,000 to $75,000 (only a 37.5 hour work week!)
