Insurance Defense Paralegal Jobs in Remote at Cox P.L.L.C.
As a growing firm, Cox P.L.L.C. is always looking to engage with experienced Insurance Defense Paralegals! We are seeking Paralegals with 5+ years of Insurance Defense experience to join our growing teams. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload while meeting monthly billing goals.
Responsibilities:
- Handle insurance defense matters with minimal supervision
- Order and obtain records via subpoena (DWQ) and FOIA requests
- Review and analyze medical records, including preparation of medical chronologies and paid vs. incurred charts
- Draft pleadings, including answers and motions
- E-file with state and federal courts
- Interview clients, drivers, and witnesses
- Communicate effectively with courts and opposing counsel
- Schedule depositions, mediations, and hearings
- Bill time accurately and consistently to meet 130+ hours per month (must have experience billing time)
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of insurance defense experience
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court e-filing systems, depending on which state you are located in.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Work Location: While this position is remote, candidates must have experience with Texas law and located within the state.
Job Type: Full-time
Projected Total Compensation: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
