Job Description
- Handle insurance defense and civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, reports, and other litigation documents.
- Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and discovery-related motions.
- Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
- Evaluate liability, damages, and litigation risks and assist with developing case strategy.
- Communicate with clients, insurance carriers, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with cases involving negligence, premises liability, motor vehicle accidents, professional malpractice, construction litigation, and related defense matters.
- Maintain accurate case files, deadlines, and reporting requirements.
- Work closely with senior attorneys and the broader legal team to advance matters efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of litigation experience.
- At least 1 year of defense negligence and/or insurance defense experience.
- Active New York bar admission in good standing.
- Experience with discovery, legal research, and motion practice.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong judgment and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing responsive, high-quality client service.

Pay: $125,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
