A national defense firm is growing its Houston insurance defense team and looking for an Associate with a few years of substantive litigation under their belt. The docket spans premises liability, trucking and transportation claims, and general liability defense, so you’ll see a genuinely varied caseload.
Despite the firm’s size, associates aren’t stuck doing research in a back office. You’ll be arguing motions, taking depositions, and getting real courtroom exposure, backed by the training infrastructure and resources that come with a national platform.
It’s a good fit if you want the stability and career runway of a larger firm, along with the day-to-day involvement you’d expect from a boutique.
Flexible working is supported depending on experience and practice needs.
Essential Experience
- Active bar license in Texas (or able to waive in)
- 3-5 years of insurance defense or general liability experience
- Trucking, transportation, or premises liability experience preferred

Salary: $140,000 – $160,000
