Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Inspection Officer to join their Compliance team. This role is ideal for someone with experience in regulatory inspections, AML/CFT compliance, and corporate governance, with the ability to engage confidently with clients while ensuring adherence to UAE regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regulatory inspections based on company risk ratings, including UBO, AML/CFT (for DNFBPs), and Visa Inspections.
- Review company documentation, shareholder information, and business activities to ensure compliance with UAE Ministry of Economy regulations and Free Zone requirements.
- Coordinate inspection schedules and communicate with clients by issuing inspection notices, reminders, warning letters, and fines where applicable.
- Conduct virtual and onsite inspections to verify business activities and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain accurate records, and ensure all documentation is uploaded into the ERP system.
- Develop remediation plans and guide clients on corrective actions to address compliance gaps.
- Perform compliance screening of companies, shareholders, directors, and managers against relevant regulatory authorities.
- Liaise with internal departments including Compliance, Customer Experience, Licensing, Renewals, Banking, and Visa teams to resolve compliance matters.
- Escalate significant compliance issues to management and provide regular reporting on inspection outcomes.
- Stay up to date with UAE regulatory changes and ensure all inspections are completed within required timelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, Compliance, or a related field.
- Previous UAE experience in compliance, regulatory inspections, AML/CFT, KYC, corporate services, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of UAE Ministry of Economy regulations, UBO requirements, and AML/CFT regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems.
- Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
- Hindi or Urdu language skills will be an added advantage.
