We are seeking an experienced In-House Legal Counsel to provide legal support across business operations, corporate governance, compliance, commercial contracts and strategic initiatives.
The successful candidate will manage legal risk while delivering practical legal advice that supports business growth.
- Manage Board of Directors and committee meetings, including agendas, minutes and resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance requirements and statutory obligations.
- Maintain corporate records, statutory filings and regulatory disclosures.
- Monitor compliance with applicable legislation and internal policies.
- Develop and implement compliance programmes, including anti-corruption, data protection and ethics.
- Conduct legal risk assessments and internal compliance audits.
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including NDAs, service agreements and vendor contracts.
- Provide legal advice on commercial transactions and major projects.
- Develop contract templates and legal approval processes.
- Implement legal policies, document management and employee legal training.
- Manage external legal counsel and oversee litigation matters.
- Partner with Finance, HR, Operations and Business Development on legal matters.
- LLB degree from an accredited institution.
- Admitted to practise (advantageous).
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant in-house legal experience.
- Experience in corporate governance, compliance and commercial contracts.
- Exposure to financing and M&A will be advantageous.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent legal research and risk assessment abilities.
- Fluent in English. Chinese language skills is a must
