About Intercept
Intercept Technologies is a Dublin-based managed security services provider operating across cybersecurity, fintech (Intercept Fintech), and aerospace (Intercept Aerospace). We’re a bootstrapped, fast-growing company delivering security architecture, threat intelligence, and managed services to public sector bodies and private clients across Ireland and beyond. As we scale, we’re building out an in-house legal function to support commercial growth, regulatory compliance, and public procurement activity.
The Role
This is a rare opportunity for a newly or recently qualified lawyer to build a broad, commercially-focused legal practice inside a technology company. You’ll work directly with senior leadership across the full spread of legal matters a growing MSSP encounters — from public tender contracts to data protection to commercial agreements. You’ll get exposure and responsibility well beyond a comparable role in private practice, with the autonomy to shape how the legal function develops.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including MSAs, SLAs, SOWs, NDAs, licensing agreements, and supplier/reseller arrangements
- Support public procurement activity: reviewing tender documentation (eTenders/OJEU), advising on contract terms, framework agreements, and conditions of contract, and flagging commercial and legal risk in bids
- Advise the business on data protection and privacy compliance (GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018), including DPAs, data processing arrangements, and breach response
- Support regulatory compliance across the group’s verticals, including imminent NIS2, DORA, and sector-specific obligations relevant to cyber, fintech, and aerospace
- Assist with employment law matters (Irish employment legislation, contracts, policies, WRC-related queries)
- Manage corporate housekeeping: company secretarial support, intra-group arrangements, and IP protection
- Instruct and liaise with external counsel where specialist advice is required, managing cost and turnaround
- Help develop internal legal templates, playbooks, and processes to scale the function
Requirements
Essential
- Qualified solicitor or barrister in Ireland (newly qualified up to ~2–3 years PQE), or due to qualify imminently
- Solid grounding in commercial contract law
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to translate legal risk into clear, practical commercial advice
- Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and broad remit in a lean, fast-moving environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Desirable
- Exposure to technology, data protection, or public procurement law
- Interest in or awareness of the cybersecurity / fintech / regulatory landscape (GDPR, NIS2, DORA)
- Experience working with or within a technology, financial services, or public sector organisation
