Legal Counsel (4–6 PQE)
Our client, a leading international retail and hospitality group, is looking for a talented Legal Counsel to join its established Group Legal team.
This is a high-impact role for a confident, commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working autonomously and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This role will report to the Group General Counsel and provide pragmatic and strategic legal advice across the Group’s operations in the US, UK, and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
This role will have a broad and varied legal remit, including advising on:
- M&A transactions and intragroup reorganisations
- Commercial contracts
- Energy and utilities contracts
- Property matters
- Litigation & dispute resolution
- Managing reputational risk
- IP/IT, competition & data protection
- Financings and refinancings
- Employment law
Experience in these areas is a plus, but not essential.
Background required:
- Qualified solicitor, ideally trained at a top-tier Irish or international firm.
- 4-6 years’ PQE, ideally with a blend of private practice and in-house experience.
- Experience in construction, energy and utilities would be beneficial, although not essential.
- Commercially minded self-starter with sound commercial and legal judgement.
- Skilled in negotiating high-value commercial agreements.
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communicator with the ability to simplify complex legal issues.
- Trusted adviser to senior stakeholders on technical legal matters.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and execution-driven.
- Thrives in a high-growth, entrepreneurial setting.
