As AI continues to reshape technology and human interaction, and legal plays a critical role in navigating evolving regulatory frameworks, we are seeking an In- House Counsel to join the company, advise on regulations affecting product development, and support responsible business expansion across jurisdictions.
The role:
We are seeking a hands-on, strategic In- House Counsel to own the company’s U.S. legal function while collaborating closely with international teams. This role spans corporate, commercial, and advisory matters, positioning you as a trusted advisor to the senior leadership and the board.
You will support the company’s global growth by overseeing complex commercial agreements, guiding risk-informed decision-making, and ensuring compliance with U.S. and international regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal guidance across corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters to executives and business teams in the U.S., the Americas, and the Asia-Pacific region.
- Draft, review, and negotiate enterprise agreements, SaaS contracts, data licensing, vendor contracts, and partnership agreements.
- Act as the primary sign-off authority on U.S.-based contracts and agreements.
- Lead corporate governance, entity management, and compliance for U.S. operations, coordinating with global counterparts.
- Advise on privacy, data protection, AI regulations, and IP matters in coordination with internal and external teams.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and partnership integrations from a legal perspective.
- Act as a consultative resource to all teams, providing rapid and practical advice on emerging issues.
- Manage relationships with outside counsel and oversee U.S.-based legal operations team members (paralegals, coordinators, administrative staff).
Qualifications:
- JD from an accredited U.S. law school; admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 5+ years of solid legal experience, with at least 3 years in-house.
- Proven experience in contract negotiation, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance, ideally in technology, SaaS, AI, or data-driven businesses.
- Strong understanding of U.S. privacy, data protection, and IP law; global/regional experience a plus.
- Ability to operate in a fast-moving, high-growth environment and provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with a reputation for responsiveness and professionalism.
- Experience managing legal operations teams and working in distributed, cross-cultural environments is a plus.
