Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Immigration Paralegal to join our growing immigration practice. This position focuses heavily on detained cases involving ICE custody and proceedings before the Immigration Court (EOIR).
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands the urgency of detained matters, and can manage complex removal defense cases from intake through final disposition.
Key Responsibilities
- BILINGUAL IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH
- Manage a high-volume caseload of detained removal defense cases
- Prepare and file motions (bond motions, custody redetermination, motions to reopen, continuances, etc.)
- Draft asylum applications, cancellation of removal packets, waivers, and supporting declarations
- Coordinate with detention facilities and communicate with ICE officers
- Prepare court filings for EOIR and ensure compliance with deadlines
- Schedule and prepare clients for individual and master calendar hearings
- Maintain detailed case tracking systems and deadline monitoring
- Communicate with clients and family members regarding case updates
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation and exhibit organization
Pay: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
