Top-rated law firm, HarrisLaw, managed by a Florida Bar board certified immigration lawyer based in Downtown Miami, Florida, is seeking a legal assistant or paralegal who can effectively use technology, artificial intelligence, and more.

Our firm provides complex legal services to companies seeking to raise foreign capital; investors seeking to invest for a green card; businesses seeking to transfer employees to the U.S.; as well as other entrepreneurs, artists, investors, and more. We need to add to our team with a person who is open to new ideas, takes initiative in assignments, and is a team player.

Responsibilities

Technology Competence: Have a high level of competence with Acrobat, Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and more. Have had experience using AI, such as in ChatGPT. Ability to create custom GPTs or to perform low-code or no-code tasks is a plus.

Innovation and Initiative: Openness to new ideas, self-starter attitude, and taking initiative in assignments.

Team Collaboration: Working effectively as part of a team to achieve common goals.

Requirements

Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree. Paralegal certification a plus. Degrees in Political Science, Journalism, and International Studies are a plus.

Language Skills: Fluency (write & speak) in Spanish required. Ability to speak in other languages is a plus.

Typing Skills: Touch typing experience required. Test for typing speed may be administered. Test yourself here: https://www.typingtest.com/ and tell us your score. (Touch typing refers to a method of typing on a computer keyboard without having to look at the keys. It involves using all 10 fingers to type quickly and accurately, increasing productivity and reducing eye strain.)

Experience: One to two years of experience working in a law firm as a legal assistant or paralegal.

Preferred: Experience in business immigration filings, but not required. We will train you if you are willing, ready, and able to learn.

Compensation And Benefits

Salary is commensurate based on experience.

Must be available to work at our offices, with remote work only in rare circumstances. Must be presently based in Miami-Dade County and willing to commute to downtown Miami. Parking paid for by firm.

PTO, OT, double OT, benefits, and quarterly/annual bonus available.
