Immigration Lawyer Jobs in Rancho Cucamonga, CA at Resilient Law Group
We are seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our growing law firm. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience handling both employment/investment-based immigration matters and immigration litigation/removal defense.
We are particularly interested in an attorney who can independently manage cases involving political asylum, Immigration Court proceedings, EB-5 investor immigration, EB-2/NIW, EB-3/PERM, and immigration appeals.
This position is ideal for an attorney who is comfortable working directly with clients, developing case strategies, preparing complex immigration filings, and representing clients before immigration authorities and courts.
Primary Responsibilities
The attorney will be responsible for managing immigration matters from initial consultation through final resolution, including:
Asylum & Removal Defense
- Prepare and file affirmative and defensive asylum cases
- Represent clients in Immigration Court
- Prepare clients for asylum interviews and court hearings
- Handle Master Calendar Hearings and Individual/Merits Hearings
- Prepare supporting evidence, declarations, legal briefs, and country-condition evidence
- Handle removal/deportation defense matters
- Prepare motions to reopen and motions to reconsider
- Handle bond-related immigration matters when applicable
- Communicate and negotiate with DHS/ICE counsel when appropriate
Employment & Investment Immigration
- EB-5 Investor Immigration
- EB-2 National Interest Waiver (NIW)
- EB-2 and EB-3 employment-based immigration
- PERM Labor Certification
- I-140 Immigrant Petitions
- Adjustment of Status (I-485)
- Consular processing
- H-1B and other employment-based nonimmigrant matters
- Requests for Evidence (RFEs), Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs), and other complex USCIS responses
Immigration Appeals
- Evaluate cases for potential appeals
- Prepare and file appeals with the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
- Draft appellate briefs and legal arguments
- Handle motions to reopen and reconsider
- Experience with federal immigration litigation or petitions for review before the U.S. Courts of Appeals is highly desirable
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing with a U.S. State Bar
- Preferably 3–5+ years of immigration law experience
- Strong experience with asylum and removal-defense cases
- Immigration Court experience strongly preferred
- Experience with employment-based immigration
- EB-5 experience strongly preferred
- Experience with EB-2/NIW and EB-3/PERM matters
- Strong legal research and writing abilities
- Experience responding to complex RFEs and NOIDs
- BIA appellate experience preferred
- Federal appellate immigration experience is a major plus
- Strong client communication and case-management skills
- Ability to independently manage a substantial caseload and meet strict filing deadlines
Pay: $40.00 per hour
