Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Excellent communication and writing skills in both Languages
- Self-motivated with Professional Customer Service ability
- Well-organized and detail-oriented
Job Duties:
- Handle a varied caseload including USCIS petitions, FOIA, NVC Cases, as well as cases pending with the Immigration Court.
- Communicate extensively with clients and provide them with regular updates on their cases
- Draft USCIS forms, and some correspondences to clients and public entities
- Assist Immigration Attorneys on case matters by managing client meetings, calendaring, and preparing documents.
- Prepare and complete immigration packages for USCIS filings such as, adjustment of status, applications, Asylum applications, and naturalization applications. Experience with SIJS applications is a plus, as well as consular processing.
- Perform basic research and be familiar with filing documents online with the USCIS and the EOIR.
- Duties: assisting the attorney with various tasks including filing, making copies, calendaring appointments, preparing forms, translating documents, assisting clients, and in general providing help preparing legal documents.
Requirements:
– MUST have excellent writing and proofreading skills.
– MUST have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with people of different cultures.
– MUST be able to multi-task and work in an environment
– MUST be proficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook.
– Also proficient with internet usage (i.e., able to research on-line).
Pay: $22.00 – $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
