Position Summary
We are looking for a seasoned Personal Injury Litigation Attorney with a minimum of five (5) years of substantive experience in personal injury litigation, on either the plaintiff or defense side, within the State of Florida. This role involves taking the lead on complex cases from inception to resolution, and maintaining the high ethical and legal standards for which Liberty & Justice Legal is known.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management: Oversee a diverse caseload of personal injury matters from filing through trial, ensuring timely progression and strategic advancement.
Litigation Strategy: Develop and execute innovative strategies tailored to each client’s situation, including comprehensive investigation, discovery, motion practice, negotiation, and trial preparation.
Client Relations: Conduct initial consultations, maintain ongoing communication, and provide compassionate guidance to clients during all phases of the litigation process.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with paralegals, legal assistants, and fellow attorneys to ensure seamless case handling.
Legal Writing & Research: Draft demands, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents with clarity and precision. Perform meticulous legal research to bolster arguments.
Courtroom Advocacy: Appear in court for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials, effectively presenting arguments, examining witnesses, and advocating zealously on behalf of clients.
Settlement Negotiations: Negotiate settlements that serve the best interests of clients, balancing fair compensation with timely resolution.
Qualifications
Education & Bar Status: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on personal injury litigation experience in Florida (plaintiff or defense).
Legal Expertise: Demonstrated success navigating the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure, drafting litigation documents, and appearing in court.
Communication Skills: Exceptional writing, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities, with a proven track record of client satisfaction.
Professionalism & Ethics: Commitment to the highest standards of professional integrity, work quality, and client service.
Technical Aptitude: Comfortable using digital case management software and e-filing systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is expected.
