We’ve got a great team of Legal Assistants and we need another!
Help Railroad workers get their disability benefits from the Railroad Retirement Board. In this job you will:
Speak with Railroaders daily regarding their cases
Work closely with our lawyers to prepare disability claims
File Railroad Disability applications
Obtain medical records and files from doctors
Appeal denied claims
Prepare files for hearing
Ideal candidates will have a 4-year college degree. The successful candidate must be detail-oriented, highly organized, patient, and kind. A willingness to learn and a sense of urgency to complete projects in a timely manner is required. Must be able to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
NOTE: Knowledge of the Social Security Disability process can be used in this position.
